I am a certified Texas teacher (EC-6) who left the classroom looking for an opportunity to make a more direct, personable impact on students.  I began teaching 5th grade Math and Science and did this for two years.  I moved to 3rd grade Math and Science for one year before transitioning into a new role as 6th grade Science teacher for the past 3 years. I was also the yearbook sponsor this past year where I helped guide students in building and creating their yearbook.  

My goal as a teacher during my 6 years in a classroom was to help students become better people.  I held respect and kindness in high regard and along the way we learned about Math and Science in fun, engaging ways.  I am always looking for ways to get my students to see the world around them, and see the bigger picture or relate a concept to something in real life rather than just learning about the concept and leaving it there.
